The best veterinarian and vet techs I have ever been to, I highly recommend them. We weren’t sure what was wrong with my dog and they figured it out within 4 hours. We took him to an emergency clinic the day before and they had no sense of urgency, modern animal helped us come up with a plan to treat my dog and ran tests to figure out the best way to move forward. Thank you modern animal!

Dr. Nowell from the first visit set the bar for how a health professional should interact with dog parents Listens to concerns and addresses them one by one with easy to understand language if you are not a health professional. Prices are reasonable and access is amazing.

Really really happy we found this vet. It’s basically like One Medical for pets – the whole team there has been fantastic on every visit. We could not ask for anything more and love the transparent pricing and the insane amount of care and love they give my dogs.

My dog was attacked by another dog and thankfully they were able to book us a last minute appointment at the LB location. The facility is clean, there’s ample parking and the doctor and staff are so great! I’ve only had positive experiences at MA but this location went above and beyond. Forgot her name but the manager/nurse was so friendly and thorough. She made sure to communicate with us throughout our appointment. Thank you for taking care of my fur baby.

I can’t recommend this vet office enough. As a pet owner my entire life, I’m not sure any of my pets have received this level of care before. My dog with heart disease got an extremely painful foxtail in her paw. After assessing the situation and answering all our questions and concerns, the vet was able to deftly remove the entire foxtail and also navigate her progressed heart disease through the process. She sent updates and photos throughout the ordeal to ease our anxiety. Our precious girl is feeling so much better, and so are we. This doctor would be our regular vet in a heartbeat if we lived in the area. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Mursa! She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our dog, Barry, who struggles with anxiety. Dr. Mursa took the time to make him feel comfortable and carefully explained everything to us. Thanks to her expertise, she was able to quickly diagnose his eye ulcer and get him the treatment he needed. We’re so grateful for her compassion and professionalism. We highly recommend her and Modern Animal to anyone looking for a caring and skilled vet! Also, special shout out to Dr. Lassler from the Costa Mesa Modern Animal office for connecting us with Dr. Mursa when our regular Costa Mesa was closed and we needed to see a vet asap. She gave Dr. Mursa all the little details and quirks about Barry (e.g., his favorite treats, how he likes to be talked to...etc.) which made his first visit with Dr. Mursa go smoothly.

I brought my daughter's puppy Milo to Modern Animal in Long Beach for his very first visit, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Mackenzie, the office manager, was incredibly warm and welcoming - she explained the process clearly, asked thoughtful questions about Milo, and even gave him toys to keep him happy and comfortable. We felt at ease right away. Dr. Teresa Le was just as wonderful. She took the time to explain both Milo’s immediate care and his long-term health needs. I really appreciated all the helpful tips she gave me - everything from handling his ears, mouth, and paws to make future care easier, to understanding his medications and vaccinations. She was patient, thorough, and kind, making sure I felt confident about the next steps. Overall, I left feeling supported and reassured that Milo is in great hands. I highly recommend Modern Animal Long Beach to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable veterinary team.

Thank you to the team at Modern Animal for their boundless empathy when it came to the stray cat Tiger that I brought in. The vet techs gave him so many Churus and love even though he was so frail and scruffy. His personality could shine even more with their care. Because of them, he was purring nonstop even while getting his fluids and received so much love that he never experienced before. The vet techs also gave me resources and the kindness I needed. I appreciate everyone's professionalism and the organized flow, as well as how clean the clinic was. Virtual vets also did great and so did the customer service, who truly helped both Tiger and I. I would recommend them to anyone.

Destinee did an amazing job caring for big boy and me (his anxious mom). She got his urine on the first try which in the past most techs have not been able to do. She also was aware he needed to calm down before taking his blood pressure and moved him to a space to calm down. Overall super impressed with Destinee and the modern animal team. Also the modern animal facility is clean modern and set up to care for animals. I love that they let you in the room to be with your pet if you ask to watch the blood draw or urine collection.

Modern Animal has been wonderful with our two dogs. The team is incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, and they made the entire visit feel calm and organized from start to finish. The veterinarians took their time to answer questions and were very thoughtful in how they approached each dog’s needs. The clinic itself is also beautiful and well run. We left feeling very reassured and grateful for the care our dogs received. Highly recommend.
